  8. There is something about the charcoal flavor in the Jack that just marries with Coke just better than most things. At least thatā€™s what it seems to me. Great episode! That had to hurt just a little to drop the octomore into a red solo cup with coke and ice,l lol.

  16. The more I watch this girl/young lady (ie Sam), its quite refreshing. She reminds me of many girls back in the Midwest, before I moved out here to the Pacific Northwest.     BTW: Im SHOCKED the bourbon traditionalist arent killing you for mixing Wellers. Again, quite refreshing to watch You-Tubers like this. Not gonna lie, Ive tried coke with: Weller 12, Wellers Old Antique, Elijah Craig, Eagle Rare, Bernheim, Buffalo Trace, Wild Turkey, Evan Williams Single Barrel, Larceny, Ezra, Elmer T Lee, & Monkey Shoulder amongst others. I effin HATE Scotch! Monkey Shoulder was terrible IMO mixed with coke, in addition to drinking neat.

    Now Rum……………….All Rum tste good with coke. USE MEXICAN COKE when mixing with anything.

  21. Thanks for choosing Coke. HATE when restaurants or bars have Pepsi. This was super interesting for me. I like whiskey and Coke, but I drink it neat and use Coke for my wife. Our go to Coke mixers are Heaven Hill white label, Beam white label and occasionally Rebel Yell. Havenā€™t gone high proof and wouldnā€™t waste a store pick Weller on it. Haha!

  25. When mixing with Peated Scotch (or other smokey things really) I go for Dr Pepper instead of Coke. Cuts the sweetness nicely and mixes better with the flavours, imo…

  33. Omg good save Bobby on the Weller Antique 107, this was a good head to head for whisk(e)y mixed with Coke but I agree nothing beats regular Coke compared to calorie saving sodas. Cheers Bobby and Sam!

  36. what is the highest % a bourbon can be legally? or better yet, whats the highest % you know of on the market today?

    1. It cannot go into the barrel higher than 125 proof, and you dont always see the alcohol go up as it ages. Mid to upper 130s is as high as it will ever go.

    2. The highest I have is william heavenhill at around 135 proof but there are some things out there that get over 140 proof

  38. I am not an advocate for Fireball, but Coke mixed with it might be ok. Thereā€™s an old fashioned Soda Fountain in Columbus, Indiana that makes Cinnamon Cokes and they are delicious. The cinnamon really compliments the cola flavors.

In my opinion you have to use full red label original coke…not diet coke, not coke zero, not coke life…real coke…Plus I think the ratios have to be correct. 2 oz of bourbon to 10 oz of Coke..I personally dont like using expensive bourbon in my mixes..Evan Williams Bottled in Bond or Wild Turkey 101 work well for me..

    2. @I Whiskey She Wines – understand completely. Coke Zero is a good replacement….my jam lately is Bourbon and Ginger Beer..with a lime wedge…and perhaps mint…I tend to favor Bulleit which seems to work well..

    3. I agree thereā€™s no replacement for real coke. We went with zero sugar because Sam is diabetic. I wouldnā€™t normally put expensive bourbon with coke either, we just wanted to try something new in the video
